About the estate
Located in Ludes since 1737 the Monmarthe family were agricultural land and vineyards owners. Everything began in 1930. Ernest Monmarthe decided to launch his own champagne : Ernest MONMARTHE. Thanks to Leon MONMARTHE and his wife Anne Marie, Champagne MONMARTHE developed and the house got bigger. In 1960, the production reached 60,000 bottles. In 1990, Jean-Guy took charge of the estate to run it with his father. It also marked the opening to export markets. Today the house is run by Jean-Guy MONMARTHE, the 6th generation.
