Domaine Clau de Nell
Grolleau
The Grolleau varietal is like a basket of red fruits, with liveliness and freshness. The colour is deep red, and the nose shows notes of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, with a hint of floral and spicy. The mid-palate is delicately structured, and the finish is long and precise. A light wine with character.
ABOUT THE ESTATE
It all started with a company named CLAC, created by Anne-Claude Leflaive, Christian Jacques her husband, and famous soil microbiologists Claude et Lydia Bourguignon in 2006. The idea was to help French producers to transition to biodynamics, as well as exporting their wines abroad. In 2009, Sylvain Potin joins the team as manager, having a lot of experience in biodynamics.
In 2012, 3 acres of Chenin grapes were planted. In 2017, 1 acre of Grolleau. In 2018, 3 acres of Chenin again. In 2020, Christian still runs the estate, his daughter Claire joined the adventure to share her passion for tasting through sales and marketing. Sylvain is still manager, with Cyril in the vineyard.
