Domaine FL Savennières
Chenin Blanc
Nose of ripe melon and fresh vanilla, with a lot of minerality. In the mouth, the wine is both rich and soft, and still very mineral.
About the estate
The vineyard of Domaine FL (Fournier-Longchamps) covers nearly 34 hectares, on both sides of the Loire, on a terroir that has welcomed vines since the 12th century. Terroir over which Chenin Blanc, an historic grape variety in Anjou, is king! Its complexity and great aptitude for aging have always given it a special status. It is from this single grape variety and with the same requirement that the Domaine FL makes dry and sweet white wines, using the appellations Savennières, Savennières-Roches-aux-Moines, Coteaux du Layon, Quarts de Chaume and Anjou White. Another grape variety, Cabernet Franc, also typical of Anjou, is also cultivated for the production of an Anjou-Village red.
