Château Poujeaux Moulis en Médoc
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
This Bordeaux reveals a very delicate nose with hints of blueberry. The wine is rich with a beautiful structure and a long finish.
About the estate
Known since the Middle Ages as a dependent Lordship of Latour Saint Mambert (future Château Latour) it was in 1806 that the name Château Poujeau appeared for the first time. In 1956 the Theil family reunited the 70 ha property. Since 2008, the Cuvelier family, owner of Clos Fourtet, has taken over the château. Today Matthieu Cuvelier and Christophe Labenne manage the property with enthusiasm to perpetuate and transmit the family spirit of Château Poujeaux. The vineyard extends in a single piece northeast of Moulis on gravelly soils. The perfect match between the Bordeaux grape varieties and the nature of the soil gives rise to a deep wine with density and elegance.
